The Vig and their summer specials 2024

A person is holding a menu that says all day summer specials

I got to stop by and visit The Vig this week to experience their all day summer specials. Each day they feature an unique special that you can enjoy and take advantage of. These specials will go through the summer and from first glance, each deal is a great offer, but how does it line up in taste...well let's find out!

To start, on Monday's they feature a $10 Genuine Cheeseburger, which was the day I visited. A lot of times when restaurants do these specials, they may skimp or use less ingredients, but this burger was not that. It was a huge thick burger topped with American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and their VIG sauce. Not only was is large, it was delicious. Every table I saw had at least one of these cheeseburgers, so clearly I was not the only one who enjoyed it.

Tuesday's and Thursday's you'll find their 2 for $6 deals. Taco Tuesdays and Slider Thursdays. They have a nice variety of tacos from shrimp, veggie, chicken tinga and pork, all of which tasted great. My favorites were the chicken tinga and I really enjoyed the veggie one. You will also find $6 House Margs on Tuesday, because you can't enjoy a taco with a nice margarita. The sliders you can choose from a traditional beef, crispy chicken and bbq pork. Now all 3 of these are great, but when I say the crispy chicken one is addicting, that is not an understatement. I could probably eat 20 of them, they are that good. Their chicken sliders are a a version of their Hot Honey Chicken sandwich which has spicy honey, cheddar cheese, pickles, vinegar slaw, white bbq sauce. I would definitely recommend trying this one.

Wednesday's, Saturday's and Sunday's you will find the drink specials (yes Tuesday has a drink special too, but I already mentioned that)! On Wednesday's you can enjoy their Espresso Martinis for just $6, which in my opinion is a steal. From my experience, the average price of a drink ranges from $12-$18, so to be able to enjoy one for just $6 is a great deal. Plus the espresso martini tasted great, so you don't have to worry about receiving an inferior item just because it's on "sale". Saturday's from 10am-3pm you will find 1/2 off their Espresso Martini's too, as well as their Mimosa's and House Marg's, which means you can enjoy an extra or two drinks for brunch. On Sunday's you will find 1/2 off select bottles of wine, which makes for a great deal when you are dining out for a meal.

Lastly, the Friday's special is a great one, offering Happy Hour prices from 11am-6pm, so you can really enjoy those happy hour specials on Friday. You will find some of the tacos and sliders on the happy hour menu, along with some other great bites, the noble pretzel being a big favorite of mine. It comes with queso and house mustard and just their their cheeseburger, it is huge! The pretzel has a nice balance and chew, so it is not too hard, but also not too soft and flimsy. The pretzel can easily be shared between 2-3 people. You will also find 6 signature cocktails on the happy hour menu, all of which are great choices. The Coug Cup and Blackberry Smash were my top favorites.

These summer specials that The Vig are offering are definitely great deals to enjoy. Whether you are looking for specials on food or drinks, they have you covered. I visited the North Central location and the service was great, with our server giving some great recommendations. There are a few locations throughout the Phoenix area, so you can find one closest to you!
