Pocha54 Korean Tapas

"Pocha" which is a Korean term for a pub, is where you will find some delicious bites and drinks and if you are looking for some great Korean food to share with some friends, you have to try Pocha54! Another great spot created by New Culinary Concepts, the group also responsible for restaurants like Zu & Pocha and and B.E.I.

One of the things I love about Asian food is the complexity of flavors and how versatile it can be. Now what makes Korean food special is it tends to be a little more hearty with a variety of flavors and ingredients, as well as its balance of plant and animal products. The menu at Pocha54 is just that, where you will be able to find something for everyone. If you've never had Korean food this would be a great place to start trying it.

Pocha54 features a Happy Hour menu that you can experience daily from 4pm - 6pm, reverse Happy Hour from 9pm - 11pm and all day Sunday and Tuesday. You will find some great deals on Soju (a liquor made with rice), some speciality soju cocktails and some great food finds. I tried their Seoul Soju Mojito which I was a huge fan of. Food starts at just $3.54 on the happy hour menu with some great finds like the corn cheese & naan and the K-tacos. The corn cheese is exactly what you need if you are looking for something cheesy, gooey and delicious. Loved the K-tacos, I went with bulgogi but you can also choose gochujang pork, spicy chicken, onion, or stir fried kimchi. The bulgogi was packed with a ton of flavor and melts in your mouth when you bite into it.

Throughout the full menu, you'll find a vast variety of options, with something for everyone. I tried the soy garlic wings, crispy mayo shrimp and the spicy Korean ramen. Each dish was unique in its own way and tasted delicious. The menu definitely has a lot to choose from, so I would definitely recommend trying a few. Portion sizes are really great and even just grabbing a few items could easy fill up 1-2 people.
