New Lou Malnati's Now Open in Surprise

Arizona pizza fans, get ready to welcome a classic. Lou Malnati's, one of Chicago's most legendary pizzerias, has opened a new location in Surprise, bringing its famous deep-dish pizza and Italian-inspired menu to another location in the Valley. Known for their buttery, flaky crust, rich tomato sauce, and generous layers of cheese, Lou Malnati's pizza is a deep-dish experience that’s hard to match.


The Surprise location is all about creating the perfect gathering spot. This new location is beautiful, with a open layout and large patio, it makes for the perfect spot. Whether you’re a fan of classic sausage, pepperoni, or a veggie-loaded pie, Lou Malnati’s offers something for everyone. Beyond their signature deep dish, the menu also features thin crust options, hearty pasta dishes, fresh salads, and even sweet treats like Tiramisu and Chocolate Chip Cookies.


I stopped by a few days before they opened to hang with the pizza master himself, Marc Malnati, to learn how to make the perfect deep dish. 


Marc is a funny guy and a tough critique because he likes to ensure each Lou’s pizza goes out perfect every time. I got rated a 7/10 on my pizza dough spreading technique, but did get a perfect on my sausage and sauce spreads. It was a lot of fun and such an unique experience to get to learn how to make a deep dish and while mine did taste good, I’ll leave the pizza making to the experts!


At the heart of Lou Malnati’s is a dedication to quality. The pizzeria uses Wisconsin mozzarella, freshly prepared dough, and California vine-ripened tomatoes, giving each slice an authentic flavor. With decades of pizza-making tradition and a reputation that’s spread from coast to coast, Lou Malnati’s opening in Surprise marks another great addition for the brand in Arizona and is sure to become a favorite spot for families, friends, and anyone craving a slice of Chicago’s best.
