Bourbon & Bones Signature Summer Menu

Bourbon & Bones has long been one of Arizona's top destinations for elevated steakhouse dining, and their new Signature Summer Menu is proof that fine dining doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. For just $79, you can enjoy a curated three-course meal with multiple selections, now available Sunday through Thursday at all locations (excluding Chase Field) until October 2nd.

This limited-time offer brings together seasonal flavors, premium ingredients, and Bourbon & Bones' signature elevated style. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to treat yourself, this is your sign. Here’s a full breakdown of the experience, what to expect, and why it’s one of the best summer dining deals in Arizona.

What’s Included in the Summer Menu

The prix fixe menu includes three courses with four choices in each course — meaning you can truly customize the experience to your cravings. Start with a bold appetizer, move into your choice of entrée and side, and wrap it all up with a decadent dessert. You can even upgrade your meal with optional add-ons like their infamous Crab Mashed Potatoes. And of course, with the largest bourbon and whiskey selection in the Southwest, there’s no shortage of cocktail or spirit pairings to complement your meal.

Starters That Make a Statement

The experience begins with your choice of appetizer, and these are not your average starters. These are the two I tried:

Crispy Calamari Fries – Lightly breaded calamari, flash-fried until crispy and golden, served Asian-style with shishito peppers and cherry peppers. A generous drizzle of remoulade sauce adds a creamy, zesty kick that balances the heat and richness.

Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail – Two oversized chilled shrimp served with classic cocktail sauce and an atomic horseradish that adds a punch of spice and depth. It’s a timeless steakhouse starter done the right way.

Both options bring bold flavors and texture to the table — whether you prefer something crispy and indulgent or light and bracing to set the tone.

Elevated Entrée Selections

There are a few entrée choices, that both showcase Bourbon & Bones' commitment to quality meats and bold presentation. Here are the two I chose:

Prime Petite Filet Mignon (6 oz) – This cut is buttery, tender, and beautifully seasoned, seared with a caramelized crust and cooked to your preferred temperature. It’s a steakhouse classic that never goes out of style, elevated by technique and top-tier beef.

22 oz Braised Pork Shank – A standout dish that brings rustic comfort to a refined setting. The pork is slow-braised until it falls off the bone, served with a rich, velvety bordelaise sauce that’s layered with deep umami flavors and a touch of red wine.

Both entrees are generous in portion, expertly plated, and pair well with the robust cocktail list.

Your Choice of Sides

Sides at Bourbon & Bones are never an afterthought — and with this summer menu, you get to choose between something simple and seasonal or indulge in something luxurious.

Roasted Broccoli – A surprisingly craveable option, this broccoli is charred for texture and tossed with chardonnay, lemon zest, and parmesan. It’s bright, savory, and doesn’t get lost on the plate.

Crab Mashed Potatoes (+$14) – This side is worth the splurge. Creamy, buttery mashed potatoes are topped with tender lump crab meat, transforming a comforting dish into something completely decadent. If you’re going all-in on this menu, this upgrade is a must.

Save Room for Dessert

The experience ends with your pick of two signature desserts (upgrades available too):

Vanilla Crème Brûlée – Silky, custard-like vanilla base topped with a perfectly torched sugar crust. The contrast of creamy and crisp, sweet and lightly bitter, is what makes this a classic. Fresh raspberries on top add a bright finish.

Chocolate Fudge Cake – Rich, layered chocolate sponge cake served with strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s bold, indulgent, and guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Whether you prefer a lighter, elegant finish or a rich chocolatey close, either choice is a strong one.

Deep Dive into Flavor Pairings

What sets Bourbon & Bones apart isn’t just the quality of their ingredients — it’s how well each dish pairs with the extensive drink list. This summer menu was clearly designed with pairing in mind.

For the Filet Mignon, opt for a glass of 1792 Whiskey, which brings caramel and spice that elevate the sear on the beef. Or, try their Smoked Herradura Silver Old Fashioned — the smokiness enhances the umami of the steak without overwhelming it.

The Braised Pork Shank pairs beautifully with a glass of Terrazas Reserva Malbec, with its full-bodied notes and balanced acidity that cut through the richness of the bordelaise.

Looking for a summery cocktail? The Fifth Key is a standout — made with Blade & Bow Bourbon, Montenegro, lemon, and peach. It complements both entrées while bringing a refreshing citrus-fruit complexity.

And when it comes to dessert, you can’t go wrong with a sweet bourbon pairing. Ask your server for something with vanilla or cherry notes to echo the flavors in the crème brûlée or fudge cake.

Ingredient Substitutions and Customizations

While this is a set menu, Bourbon & Bones is known for excellent service and is typically able to accommodate dietary preferences or allergies with notice.

  • Vegetarian alternatives may be available upon request, particularly for sides.
  • If you’re sensitive to spice, you can request the atomic horseradish be served on the side.
  • Gluten-free diners can often be accommodated as well — just let your server know.

The summer menu is designed to be satisfying but flexible. While substitutions within the menu may be limited, additional items from the regular menu can be added.

Entertaining Tips: Make It a Summer Outing

This deal isn’t just for date night — it’s perfect for:

  • Business dinners where you want something elevated but not stuffy.
  • Celebrations with friends or family (order a mix and share bites across the table).
  • Weeknight indulgences when you want steakhouse vibes without weekend crowds.

The $79 price point is also incredibly competitive for the quality and ambiance. If you're planning a special summer gathering, consider booking a private dining room or calling ahead for group reservations. The consistent quality across all locations — Scottsdale, Peoria, and San Tan — makes it easy to plan.

Behind-the-Scenes: Why I Love This Spot

Bourbon & Bones holds a special place in Arizona’s dining scene. It’s modern without being cold, upscale without being pretentious, and always focused on great food.

This summer menu reflects everything they do well — premium cuts of meat, creative side dishes, bold flavor, and drinks that feel curated and intentional. But what really makes it stand out is accessibility. Steakhouse experiences like this usually come with a triple-digit price tag, and rarely include such thoughtful desserts or pairing options.

As someone who loves sharing dining experiences, this kind of seasonal menu makes it easy to recommend a great night out to everyone — whether you're a bourbon lover, a food enthusiast, or just someone who wants to eat well without overthinking it.

Plan Your Visit
